Things to remember that can help you stay free: "The TRUTH is HARD but HELL is HOT!"
1. Sin is a choice. Addiction violates that choice through manipulation and deception of the heart.
2. The mind will always justify the heart.
3. Pride and anger will not help you but will push you further into your addiction and away from those who love and want to help restore you.
4. Your sin is against God. You break His heart everytime you allow yourself to surcome to perversion.
5. You can be free but only by doing it God's way. You cannot make you free. It is you who got you into this addiction. You need God and the help of others.
6. The foothold of secrecy must be broken and stay that way.
7. You must make covenant with your eyes. You must covenant with yourself, God, and others to keep the covenant. (SEE I (EYE) COVENANT LINK ABOVE)
8. As the Apostle Paul admonished Timothy and Titus again and again - You must always be on guard to maintain a clean conscience. Always seek to maintain clean hands and a pure heart.
9. Quit lieing to yourself - it is not a private sin, it will not go away, you cannot keep it secret, it will destroy you and your family for generations, masterbation is self-pleasing perversion of God's intent to sexual intimacy.
10. Every time you spend money or time for pornography you are stealing what should be God's and making a charitable contribution to support child molestation, homosexuality, and every other kind of sexual perversion there is because it all comes from ther same color of money.
11.Those women are souls that you are helping send to hell when you condon or partake of perversion.
12. Perversion is selfish, selfishness is sin, sin seperates you from God, destroys your Kingdom identity and purpose.
13. Perversion has no boundaries or limits. It will grow and continue to demand more.
14. Your wife will not just get over it. It will devostate her soul and destroy the trust of your marriage and the trust others have in you. Count the cost.
15. You must feed your spirit man more and starve the flesh man.
16. You must not fight alone. You must put up a strong defense against temptation and an agressive, strategic offense to restoration.
17. Humility, Humility, Humility. Be Accountable, Accountable, Accountable. Be Honest, Be Transparent, Be Made Free.
18. Do not trust yourself or think you are stronger than the temptations of the flesh.
19. God can restore you and use what was a weakness and make it a strength for His glory.
20. Keep a diary of victories and failures. Watch them begin to change as you seek the restoring hand of God's grace and mercy.
21. It is easier to live a life of conviction rather than condemnation. There is nothing wrong with strong conviction against sin.
22. You must see this sin as God sees it. You must dispise it as God does. You must desire to please God more than self and flesh.
